Nice to see an example not pulling boats out of the sea at Abersoch.
Reason for Job:
This tidy tractor came to us because it was making a screeching noise from front half of transmission, had no hydraulics and Duel Power inactive. Also after further investigation we noticed PTO wasn’t engaging properly. After some testing we decided to split tractor.
Main problems found:
Once tractor was split we found main culprit to be PTO spline from centre of flywheel had stripped. This shaft also drives hydraulics and Duel Power clutches.
Also found pack in duel power had burnt out most likely caused from loosing hydraulic pressure from stripped splines
Remedy:
Rich washed tractor with much love and affection. ( some would have said he had an unusual attraction to the tractor)
Split tractor at engine/ transmission joint
Remove transmission from rear casting
Strip box and quote
Re build box
Re-Fit box
Re fit new clutch
Mate front and rear half back together
Test on dyno for 1 hours to check for leaks
Return tractor to customer

In 2019 we upgraded our business unit to include a dedicated engine and transmission workshop. Making these improvements gives us the ability to be more efficient, whilst maintaining the best quality.
We also offer mobile services for onsite repairs, diagnostics and fault finding (UK mainland only).
