This tractor was brought to us by a collector based in the North of England. It is in stunning condition for its age and hours.
Reason for Job:
Tractor had partially lost drive in medium gear ranges and was suffering from very jolty gear changes and numerous oil leaks.
Main problems found:
As this tractor is parked in a collection, all internal and external seals were extremely brittle due to lack of use. This includes main piston seals which caused clutch packs to bypass oil; this resulted in slipping clutch packs.
The external hard o-rings were causing a number of leaks.
Front and rear crank seal on engine had failed.
Remedy:
Complete strip down and rebuild of the transmission. Many hours were required to replace all external pipe o-rings and seals to eventually achieve a tractor with zero leaks!
Partial engine removal in order to remove sump to replace front and rear crank seals.

In 2019 we upgraded our business unit to include a dedicated engine and transmission workshop. Making these improvements gives us the ability to be more efficient, whilst maintaining the best quality.
We also offer mobile services for onsite repairs, diagnostics and fault finding (UK mainland only).
